Profile
Dr Elena was born on the 4th of January 1964. She is married to Dr. Ioannis Kassinis, a senior Gynaecologist. She has two children, a son and daughter. She speaks Greek, English and Slovak fluently.



Education
Dr Elena did her First Degree in Medicine at the Comenius University in Czechoslovakia and finished with honours in 1988.
She then went on to specialize in Ophthalmology at the F.D Roosevelts Hospital in Bansia Bystrica, under the tuition of the famous Proff. Izak.
She completed her studies in 1993, again with honours.



Memberships and Associations
Dr Elena is an active member of the Cyprus Medical Association and the Cyprus ophthalmological society and attends many meetings, seminars and congress’s in Cyprus and abroad.

She is also a member of the Hellenic Society of Intraocular Implant and Refractive Surgery, attending courses and seminars every year on subjects such as, Pterygium Surgery,MIcroincision Bimanual Phacoemulsification,Lasik and others

Dr Elena attends VISX STAR and, European Accreditation Council for continuing Medical Education ( EACCME ) programmes.
