Dr. Hans Jacob Rossebø

Mr. Hans Jacob Rossebø MD is the head surgeon of the orthopaedic department at ScanHealth Scandinavia. He was trained at the County Hospital i Haugesund, Ullevål University Hospital and Buskerud Hospital Trust. He worked many years as the head surgeon at the County Hospital in Haugesund’s daycare unit. Our orthopaedic surgeon is specialist in prosthetic surgery and in endoscopic surgery (”keyhole surgery”) and performs more than 1500 operations a year.

Mr. Kjell Gunnar Gundersen Ph.D
The head physician for the eye department at Privatsykehuset Haugesund. He was trained at the County Hospital in Haugesund, Haukeland Hospital, and the University Hospital of Malmø. He took his Ph.D. in 1999 from the University of Lund, Sweden. Mr. Kjell Gunnar Gundersen has 15 years of experience in eye surgery and performs more than 2000 operations a year.

Member of the Swedish Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Swedish Plastic Surgery Association and Internation Association for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery / ISAPS. Registered as Specialist in Plastic and General Surgery at General Medical Council-United Kingdom.
Born in Gävle in 1956. First studied for the dental profession at Karolinska Institut Stockholm with a three-year work experience placement at a private clinic. Between 1984-1989 he studied to become a doctor at Karolinska Institut Stockholm. He became a specialist in general surgery in 1997 and plastic surgery in 2000.
Dr Gewalli defended his research with the dissertation ”Dynamic Principles in Craniofacial surgery - Expander elements and their surgical application” 2001. Opponent Professor Fernado Ortiz Monasterio Mexico City Mexico. Head Instructor Professor Claes Lauritzen Gothenburg.
Dr Gewalli worked at the plastic surgical department at Sahlgrenska University Hospital 1998-2003.
Since 2003, Dr Gewalli has been chief surgeon at Lund’s University Hospital and Team-leader for Microvascular surgical activity with reconstructions within Head & Neck.
Since 2002, Dr Gewalli has been working with aesthetic plastic surgery. He has visited Professor Fernando Ortiz Monasterio in Mexico City and learned the basic principles of advanced beauty and reconstructive surgery.

Dr Gewalli continues his research and has 16 papers published and 6 pending publication. Research collaboration has been established with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Dr Babak Mehrara Department Plastic Surgery since 2006. A shared research project is ongoing within Head & Neck reconstructions after cancer treatment for example, with ”tissue engineering”. A research presentation was made in June 2007 in Stanford, California, USA. To be at the cutting edge of this science we have to work across borders.
The combination work with reconstructive plastic surgery at university hospitals and aesthetic plastic surgery at a private clinic is a conscious choice in order to acquire a wide competence and to have access to new knowledge.
Mr. Jacek Bartosik

Our dermatologist, Dr. Jacek Bartosik MD, Ph.D received his medical training at Lunds University, and later received his specialist training in dermatology at the Dermatology Clinic in Lund and at the National Hospital in Copenhagen. He has worked at the Dermatology Clinic in Lund since 1997, where his functions have included having the primary responsibility for treating hyperhidrosis (extreme sweating) with Botox® (botulinum toxin). He defended his dissertation in 1991 and has participated in national and international research projects in atopic dermatitis, photodynamic therapy, hypermobile syndrome, and more.
He was among the first in Sweden to begin using Botox® (botulinum toxin) and Restylane® for cosmetic treatments. His experience is respected by both patients and doctors. Dr. Bartosik is one of two specialists in Sweden that head training for other physicians in the country in the cosmetic use of Botox®. These courses are certified by the producer of Botox®, Allergan.
Dr. Bartosik works at Privatsykehuset Haugesund (Haugesund Private Hospital) at least one week a month. We accept patients with all types of skin diseases. The hospital has first-rate modern equipment including Doppler, CO-laser, and advance cryogenic techniques. We have special competence in surgical treatments, and hand/foot and arm sweat treatments using Botox® injections. We accept patients with or without referrals from another doctor.

Mr. Tønnes Østrem

Mr Tønnes Østrem MD is Head Surgeon responsible for the Urology Department.
Experience:
He has his general surgery and urology education from The Central Hospital in Hjörring, Denmark, Haugesund Hospital, The Central Hospital in Stavanger and The National Hospital in Norway.
Mr Østrem was registered as a specialist in general surgery in 1973 and a sub-specialist in urology in 1981. He has a long career in urology and is probably the surgeon with the most experience in prostate surgery in Norway.
