Experience:

Mr Tom Materman is an extremely experienced and highly skilled refractive surgeon who has completed in excess of 14,000 laser eye surgery procedures. As well as his vast general ophthalmology knowledge he has also undergone specialist refractive surgery training. Mr Tom Materman regularly attends International Medical Advisory Board (IMAB) conferences and is assessed by this prestigious board every year.

Mr Tom Materman is from New Zealand and after gaining his medical degree he went on to pass the primary Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists exams in 1996. In 2003, Mr Tom Materman completed the RANZCO fellowship exams and accepted a fellowship post at the West of England Eye Unit in Exeter gaining valuable experience in the process.
In 2005 and 2006, Mr Materman was fortunate to have a 12 month fellowship working with the world renowned refractive surgeon, where he gained valuable skills in the field of refractive surgery and Implantable contact lenses.
