The procedure is nothing to fear
At -13 each eye I functioned well for 1/2 century with glasses/contacts so I was not easily persuaded that ditching glasses was either desirable or beneficial. Very wrong both counts!
After 1st treatment only night driving and screen reading sometimes needed assistance. After a small refinement I see better that I ever did before. The freedom from all that goes with glasses and cataracts is surprisingly liberating.
I did not go into this lightly by my expectations and even my hopes have been exceeded. I have only compliments for the staff and the process, and the procedure is nothing to fear. All this, and nice biscuits too!

Excellent treatment
My whole experience has been excellent. The procedure was very quick and pain free and I am now able to live without the hassle of glasses. The biggest impact has been in my various sporting activities which I can now undertake with perfect vision. My thanks to all the staff at LVC who have been professional, informative and supportive throughout.

very happy with everything ,staff were lovely ,the clinic was spotless,aftercare was fantastic ,you can nip in and see them if you are worried about the slightest thing ,i will definatly be using them again if i want anything else doing ..

Everybody in the clinic were very friendly and helpful.The surgeon (Mr Sullivan) was fantastic
he explained what he was doing and why.I had no after effects and would sooner have this done than go to the dentist.I cannot fly or drive for about 3 months but that is not a problem.
If you are going to have this op don't worry just
put yourself in very capable hands and relax.

I was just about the most nervous person going into this you can imagine. Overall the service was amazing and they did a great job of putting my nerves at ease. The recovery was pretty speedy too - with just a bunch of eyedrops - but that's about the worst of it. Great overall - couldn't recommend LVC enough!!

Highly recommended clinic in Ballsbridge, Dublin. The whole team from surgical to aftercare were exceptional and left me completely at ease. Don't think about it, just go here for eye surgery, it's changed my life.

I had laser eye surgery 6 months ago and I am extremely happy with the results. I had Lasik surgery and I couldn't believe how painless the procedure was (i was worried!) and I was able to work the next day!
My eyes were dry for a few months after surgery which was slightly annoying but my surgeon explained this was part of the natural healing process. This has now thankfully gone completely. I also had some slight glare when driving at night but again this disappeared after about 2 months. I certainly am glad I had laser eye surgery and for anyone squeamish about their eyes there really is nothing to it.

Giving consent to any surgeon, even one so highly qualified, experienced and recommended, to 'chop' into one's eyeball is rather daunting; but the courtesy, care and competence of all the personnel at Optegra and their expert handling of start-of-the-art equipment at the pre-operative assessment convinced me that my sight was in safe hands, and that I could face the two Clarivu procedures with total confidence. As a physicist I knew what the books said about the effects of Cataracts on the transmission and scattering of light, but to personally experience the restoration of visual activity, true colour perception and wide peripheral vision was amazing.

After feeling very apprehensive, I found the whole procedure extremely satisfactory.
Close & middle distance vision is superb, long distance could be slightly better, but I'm told this will improve with time.

The staff were really kind and all very knowledgable (most having had the surgery!) I was a bit nervous during the surgery but all the technicians told me exactly what was going on so I felt reassured. I could see literally straight away but I did as I was told for the rest of the day and went to sleep for a coupel of hours..then I tried not to focus on anything for the rest of the day, the next day I woke and and was reading absolutely everything, clear as a bell!! I took all my drops as perscribed and had no bad affects..Im still taking the moisture drops occassionally as I work on a computer all day and they sometimes get a bit dry, but its AMAZING,im SO pleased I had it done, and would recommend it to everyone! I know the treatment is quite expensive but; from first hand experience; its worth every penny!

When i went for the test regarding suitability I was impressed with the explanations i got . I also liked the options explained to me and was not pressured into choose the most expensive .The actual operation was quite comfortable and i was consistently reassured by the staff that all was ok .it wasnt too unpleasant afterwards ,just a couple of hours with some pain and discomfort ,but by 8 o'clock that night i was able to watch television . The results are very pleasing and the follow up service is excellent .
