A wonderful experience to have full sight restored, its like a new lease of life. I cant thank Prof. Moore, Andrew, Colm, Clare and all the nurses and staff for their professional friendly and positive caring manner to me at all times.

 a painless experience with great results. just a bit of dry eye but it is getting better, wish l'd done it years ago. all staff at liverpool were excellent and nothing was too much trouble.

The procedure itself took about 20 minutes in total, the surgeon chatted to me throughout which took my mind off it and my eyes didn't feel particularly uncomfortable afterwards. The following day my eye sight was much better and now two months later I can see better than I ever could with contact lenses.

Very very happy with results. I am a 48 year old man and can now read without any assistance.

 I feel totally transformed by my experience. Even now, a month later, not an hour goes by when I am not amazed at what I can see and how my life has changed. I went surfing - something I could never have done properly with lenses. Just waking up is fantastic, seeing the world, falling asleep watching telly, small things that make all the difference, let alone now feeling like a primed human being rather than a faulty one!
The surgery itself I found a little traumatic but this side of it, I can say it is worth the 30 seconds of pain (on each eye). The laser itself is painless and the operation was SO quick (seven minutes each eye) but for me it was the suction, the pressure that hurt. Although I was told that this was because I have quite high cheek bones - so every cloud....
I cannot recommend it highly enough because the result is so incredible. i now have better eyesight than anyone i know as it corrected my vision beyond 20/20.
Price wise I thought it was really fair considering I won't ever need lenses again and to be honest, there is no price on perfect eyesight.
The only thing that might be a good idea is to have a big jar on the way out where you can put all your old lenses and glasses and they could be given to people in third world countries who really need them.
But my surgeon was so calm and comforting and professional he allayed all my fears, told me to count to thirty and it would stop hurting, which was correct.
The pre care and after care was faultless. Thank you so much.

Amazing - I still can't get over waking up and being able to see! Optegra was highly professional, answered all my questions and were reassuring on the day of surgery.

I had surgery at this clinic around five years ago. I found the staff at the initial consultation very professional and helpful. They take their time to talk you through everything and make sure you are completely happy before deciding whether or not to have the treatment. I had Wavefront treatment and although the thought of the procedure was frightening the whole experience was quick and painless. When I went for the follow up appointment the following day I could already see better than I had been able to for around ten years. My vision continued to get better and I still think its one of the best things I have ever done.

I can only say that the results for me speak for themselves. Having worn contact lenses for 30-plus years, to be free of all the aggravation is fantastic. My vision now is so much better than with the lenses, it is incredible. Dan and his team are truly experts in their field, and I cannot conceive why anyone would go elsewhere for laser surgery.

I decided to go with moorfields because of their reputation and also because I was recommended by a friend. I didnt want to go with one of the big multiple companies as i find their service is not as personal. I had to have lasek as apparently i have thin cornea and it was not safe to do lasik. It was a little more painful than i thought it might be - although my surgeon told me this would be the case. But this really is a small price to pay as my vision is unbelievable. I cant believe all the detail i can see without my spex on! Would def recommend it!

A friend at work convinced me to look into having the operation to correct my short sightedness. He recommended Moorfields but the cost was way in excess of what I paid as was the waiting time for an appointment.

Having read the article on Focus Laser Vision in the Telegraph I decided to go for a consultation and an hour and a half later was under no doubt that I would definitely benefit from the operation.

The consultation left me sufficiently confident that my nerves on the day were minimal. Dr. Mearza has an unbelievably reassuring manner and whilst it is rather alien to have someone take control of your eyes, the pain/ discomfort was purely psycological. Within 15 minutes it was all over and an hour later I was in a cab on my way home.

Within hours my vision was perfect and 10 days on I can see a huge improvement from the side effects (mainly feeling tired and having slightly scratchy eyes).

There is no doubt that life will be totally different from here on. I went for a run yesterday and found my balance greatly improved and it was lovely being able to see people on the other side of the room at a wedding the other day. Previously I came accross as arrogant / stand-offish purely due to the fact I couldn't see or recognise people until they were under my nose. If only I could have had this operation when I was at school, I might not have been the last person picked for team sports and I might have been able to catch the ball.

My advice would be - don't deliberate!

I was very nervous and anxious before going in for the surgery. However, the entire team were incredibly professional and supportive throughout the entire process, and I soon felt calm and safe. I would thoroughly recommend any service they provide.

It may sound perverse but my experience at the London Vision Clinic was wonderful. The very thorough tests before surgery were conducted by attentive, sympathetic professionals. On the day of surgery final tests followed by a head and shoulder massage provided the perfect lead in to a surgical procedure that was without discomfort. The consultant surgeon was outstanding. From the moment I entered his surgery and receiving a phone call from him in the evening at home, he was reassuring, compassionate and utterly professional. Since my operation, the results have been fantastic! I have experienced absolutely no discomfort and my vision is significantly better than 20/20.
