Having worn glasses for the past 20 years I had considered laser surgery previously but had never got round to it. Having seen an offer on this site i decided that I would go for the consultation and see how things went. Going to the clinic and meeting the staff, all very friendly and helpful, convinced me to go ahead. I was also very impressed by the leading clinical work that my surgeon, David Allamby, was doing. The procedure itself was mildly uncomfortable but not painful at all. On getting up and being able to see the time on the clock was simply amazing! Since then my vision has just got better and better. I would highly recommend the clinic and all the wonderful staff there.

I would definitely recommend Focus Laser Vision. My surgeon was highly experienced and very approachable and friendly. Although the first day after operation was a little uncomfortable - it is definitely worth it! I am really happy with my new perfect vision! The clinic staff were very helpful and provided very thorough aftercare and support!

So Easy
I found the surgery very uncomplicated and easy. LVC has good processes in place to make the whole process smooth and worry free. I was very happy and trusted Dr Dan to perform the surgery. Its great being lenses and glasses free. I still think I need to take my lenses out and then I remember I don't wear them! :) Thanks!

Been thinking along time about the procedure and decided to do some research. Focus came out on top and so decided to go along for a consultation. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the friendliness and professional attitude of the staff. They re-assured me, answered all my questions and what I liked most, was not pushy! The treatment itself was easy and didn't hurt ( just a little irritating) - I have a low pain threshold. I was driving the next day and my only regret was I didn't do this sooner. Focus made a scary experience so easy !

From the moment I walked into the clinic for my initial consultation I was made to feel at ease. Everything was explained to me in clear plain language, the potential risks were highlighted and all my questions were answered. It was a total of about 2 weeks from consultation to surgery! The surgery was quick and the results were amazing... once the mists had cleared everything came into Focus! After 20 years of contact lens use and even longer with glasses, I have PERFECT vision! I can't thank everyone at Focus enough and I'd recommend anyone thinking of having their vision corrected to contact Focus first - they should find that they don't need to investigate using anyone else! THANK YOU!

Excellent, right from the start. I felt well looked after and supported throughout. All questions answered and not pressured into any decisions too quickly. Very thorough aftercare and I am extremely pleased with the results!

Apart from the convenience of not having to wear contact lens and redcuing the chances of getting bacterial infections in my eyes which I had suffered a couple of time due to the lens the notable difference was the quality of my vision. Best analogy is if using contact lens is the normal tv but with laser eye surgery its the high definition television.

Glasses a distant memory!
Having worn glasses since being 8 years old I never knew what it would be like to feel 'normal'. Thanks to all the genuine and wonderful people
at LVC I have been able to 'see' the world with a new appreciation.
Waking up, going to work, spending time with those I love without having to stick on my glasses or change my lenses has had a profound
impact I never imagined would one day be possible.

My eyes were around -6 with astigmatism and I'd been wearing glasses since the age of 3. I easily chose Focus as they have the latest technology which was best suited me (Z-LASIK laser with Wavefront mapping), and their doctors are highly respected and pioneering in their own right; all this combined lets them boast a 100% record.
Various members of the team (who it has to be commented, are all very nice) checked and treble-checked everything over a run-up period, and then the operation for both eyes was about 8-10 minutes of managable discomfort. Afterwards it felt like I'd left contacts in for 2 days (if you know what that's like), so topped-up with anaestheic drops and just went to sleep. Next day felt much better and my vision already felt sharper than if I'd been wearing contacts or glasses. Less than a week later they felt pretty normal apart from the obvious need to have put in medication drops. I'm now writing this at the 2 week stage and have just needed the occasional lubricant drop (snigger!).
When you consider what my eyes physically went through not long ago, it's quite incredible really! My vision at the moment goes a teeny bit fuzzy sometimes but that is to be expected this soon-in, as they are still healing after-all. Looking forward to hitting the month-mark, where apparently I can virtually forget about them - but even already the difference is incredible on so many different levels.
It's only at 35 that my pescription settled enough to allow me have this done, and I appreciate I'll need reading glasses later on - but life is for living, so yes I'm glad I've done this :)

No regrets
Since the operation I have found my sight to be very much better. From having to use two pairs of spectacles I now need only reading glasses occasionally. I have no regrets and am very pleased in having this treatment.
