From the age of 5 years I have suffered with poor eyesight and had to wear glasses. As a result of this I was bullied as a child and hated having to wear 'specs'. Although at the age of 15 years I was prescribed with contact lenses and have worn various types on contact lenses ever since, when I saw the advert for Optegra in the Radio Times earlier this year, I knew I had to find out more about the surgery described.

So here I am recovering well fro these amazing operations on my eyes. It is like a MIRACLE! There is nothing to compare with Christmas present of good sight. My distance vision, middle vision and reading are excellent and for the first time since I was 5 years old (I am 65 years old next year) I can see the clock when I wake up and don't have to fumble round in the shower when I wash! It is truly amazing and I cannot express my thanks in words!

The overall experience was excellent. The welcome and care at the hospital was outstanding. The surgeon was friendly, approachable and enthusiastic about his work. The nursing staff were caring and informative especially on being taken to theatre and having everything explained clearly and step by step. I had the procedure because I had had over 50 years of blurred living and hated not being able to see when swimming, using a spa, being in heavy rain etc. After surgery I can now fully enjoy all situations where I would have been struggling to see. I would recommend the procedure.

The operation was a complete success and I now have 20-20 vision and do not need any glasses. The staff and Mr Morris were wonderful and I cannot recommend them and Optegra highly enough.

The world has become so much brighter! Despite having had fairly new glasses, my eye sight got worse and worse, needing a magnifying glass for smaller print - never mind the small print. After some 100 yards every golf ball - including the straight ones - just vanished. Now, thanks to the excellent work of the Optegra team at Guildford, I work on the computer, I drive and read and can see that little white ball some 200 yards ahead (most of my playing partners can't - fantastic!) I've handed in my old glasses (Inc. the spare ones) to charity, I wont need them anymore!

I have enjoyed a very professional approach from all members of staff and will be recommending Optegra to others. A daunting experience becomes enjoyable and the results beyond expectation.
