Laser Eye Surgery Forum
the huge difference in cost between laser eye surgery procedures.
there seems to be a huge jump in cost between the 3 methods of laser eye surgery
and i keep asking the same question what is the benefit of the extra cost
all i am told is quiker healing ( but this makes no difference to the quality after the healing)
and there is no pain during healing
the procedure is done in a different way but there is absolutly no pain in either method
so can anyone tell me what are the benefits after the procedure has been done and has healed in paying out hundreds of more pounds
jaki
Can you tell me what you mean by the 3 methods of laser eye surgery and also what your prescription is and then I will be better able to answer your question. Lasek certainly has a longer recovery period than Lasik and it can take about 1 week before you can return to work compared with about 48 hours with Lasik. The premium options that can be added to laser eye surgery are Intralase and Wavefront. Is this what you mean? These will have a bigger impact if you have a high prescription and if you have large pupils.
