Q.

monovision

I have had a consultation at optical express and they say I am suitable for anytype of laser surgery. I currently wear varifocals, I am 49yrs old. I am worried about my reading vision being worse afterwards. They mentioned monovision but didnt dwell on it. If I had monovision done how would I be able to read with one good eye when I struggle to read without glasses already? the vision in my eye that isnt operated on cant improve can it?

Hi. I havent got a copy of my presription but I think its -2.5 or there abouts one eye slightly worse. I know I am moderately shortsighted and have needed a near sight correction as well for 3 years which I think is mild. sorry I cant be more accurate.

You have 4 options and they are as follows: 1. You could have both eyes treated for distance vision but then you would still need glasses for reading. 2. Laser blended vision 3. CK Treatment 4. Monovision
