A.

There are some potential side effects with laser eye surgery but the are generally easily dealt with and not serious. Laser eye surgery is an extremely safe procedure and millions of people worldwide have successfully had the surgery. The complication rate during laser eye surgery is about 1/1000 procedures. Only 1/30000 results in side effect that the surgeon can not rectify. Laser eye surgery has been around a lot longer than most people think . . . over 20 years in fact and no long term complications have been yet to be seen. Generally speaking most side effects will occur within the first year of surgery and most happen within the first month. Nearly all of these side effects are easily treated.
