Laser Eye Surgery Forum
Is there an upper age limit for laser eye surgery? I am 59 years old - thanks!
I currently wear varifocals as I need them for both distance and reading vision. Is laser eye surgery capable of correcting this type of vision?
By Mr.Bryan on 2nd Nov 2010Laser eye surgery is capable of treating this type of vision and there are a few options that are available to you. Most people decide to have monovision laser eye surgery which in essence means correcting one eye for distance vision and the other eye for reading vision. This generally works extremely well with most people adapting easily to it. It is important to have a trial of monovision with contact lenses before you decide to have the laser treatment. There are other options which you can read about by clicking the following link: Laser eye surgery for near vision
By Tim from TreatmentSaver.com on 2nd Nov 2010I am 63 and successfully had monovision laser eye surgery and am really happy with the results. I had a trial with contact lenses before to check I was happy with it and I was. I now no longer need glasses for reading or walking around.
