Eye surgery and dizziness
I had lasek wavefront two years ago.I have experienced discomfort in the form of dizziness and pressure in my head ever since. I have to wear glasses all the time to minimise the symptoms yet my surgeon tells me the surgery was succesfull.I did my research so I know I went to a reputable provider. Are my symptoms common or even heard of?

Hi Carly. Dizziness and pressure in the head are certainly unusual symptoms following laser eye surgery, and not ones I have come across before. Are the glasses you are using sunglasses to reduce light or glare, or do they indeed have a prescription? Perhaps you could confirm, please. If a lens prescription cures the symptoms, it would be useful to know what refractive error (strength of your glasses) has been found. Has this been prescribed by an optician of by the treating clinic?

No they are not sunglasses. The treating clinic made me up some bi focals R +0.25/-0.25X30 L +0.75/-0.50X30 Add +1.50
This prescription prevents me from feeling the discomfort associated with the difference in my two eyes but I have continued to experience dizziness and pressure ever since surgery. I haven't been able to see properly with a vari focal lens since surgery something I used to wear easily before. My prescription keeps changing too which doesn't help. When might I expect this to settle?
This is only a very mild prescription and the difference between the 2 eyes is not very much. This is unlikely to cause dizziness and pressure in the head and like Dr Allamby pointed out, these are not symptoms normally associated with laser eye surgery. I suggest you go back to see your surgeon to see what he/she thinks otherwise you should see your GP.
