Mr David Allamby has specialised in ophthalmic surgery since 1989 and is considered one of the UKs leading laser eye surgeons. His ophthalmic career has seen him work at some of the most respected ophthalmology centres in the UK including the London Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.

Mr David Allamby specialises in Lasik, Lasek and CK treatments. CK is a type of refractive treatment to correct people who require reading vision correction and he was the first surgeon in the UK to perform this revolutionary procedure. Such is his authority on this procedure that he offers CK surgery training to visiting consultants from different countries around the world.

His philosophy when it comes to laser eye surgery is to ensure that the patient is actively involved through a process of full informed consent ensuring together the best decision is made on your course of treatment. Mr David Allamby has carried out over 6,000 Lasik and Lasek procedures and has also undertaken over 2000 CK treatments. He is our head surgeon and is also director of the Focus laser vision clinic.
