Focus Laser Vision Reviews and Ratings

I had my eyes corrected in November and here i am 5 months later really enjoying not needing glasses anymore and occasionally kicking myself for not doing it a lot earlier.

It was the need to buy some new glasses that finally spurred me to give Laser correction a proper chance and a couple of my colleagues had used Focus before and recommended them to me. I went in for a consultation on a Thursday and having established I was suitable and there being an option of spreading payments over a 12month no interest plan I was able to book, due to a cancellation, for treatment the following day. I was then back to work on the Monday.

The price is a bit more than some of the larger brands advertise but I was attracted to them as this is their sole focus and if paying a little bit more had the potential for a better result it was one I am happy to pay. Only get one set of eyes!!

The staff were friendly and remembered me each time I went for scheduled checkups which is again the personal touch I was looking for.

I found myself looking for my sunglasses last weekend and then realised they were prescription and I had donated them for recycling. I need to go buy some new ones and so many more choices now!

I recommend anyone thinking about laser surgery shuld go have the consultation and from personal experience can state Focus did a great job looking after me.

As a result of my high myopia (R -7.00, L -7.75), astigmatism (R -1.75, L -1.50), age related presbyopia and thin corneas, I was not able to have LASIK from high street "suppliers". I found Focus via Treatment Saver. They looked at me and I offered blended laser treatment - this is not available from mainstream / conventional clinics and is therefore not discussed. I was able to get everything fixed! I have been so pleased, my daughter has had treatment by Focus in London (rather than locally in Cambridge), and my wife is having treatment there this Summer. Very highly recommended.

Having worn glasses for 8 years and seeing what focus had done for my brothers vision I decided to go ahead and have the surgery. The operation itself was painless and was very comforatble as it was all explained as it was happening. I was given full information and all my questions were awnsered prior to the having the operation. All the staff were very helpfull and were very quick to respond to any queries that I had. The after was hassle free and I have hadno problems since the surgery (now one month gone). I was considering having laser eye surgery for a number of years. My prescription got to a degree where standard contact lenses were no longer an option. Furthermore, my eyes always felt dry wearing contact lenses despite choosing so called moist lenses.

My friend has his eyes corrected at Laser Vision Focus a year earlier and based on his positive experience he highly recommended the company. He also had his procedure using a discount voucher through treatment saver.

When i came round to booking my procedure, a new treatment saver voucher became available which made the price extremely competitive for a company that offers the very latest technology. I also felt reassured given the company's 100% success rate.

I registered for the voucher worth £750 and then received a phone call the next day to discuss my interest in having laser eye correction. I was informed of the different types of procedure, the likely cost and was given the opportunity to ask any questions. After some discussion, I said I was interested and so arranged a consultation date for a few weeks later. I paid a £25 fee over the phone but this was to ensure I turned up on the day. On arrival it could be either fully refunded or put towards the cost of treatment.

As part of my thorough consultation, I first had numerous eyes tests and examinations by an eye specialist. I was then informed that my eyes were suitable for correction and they explained what was involved. I was really happy with my consultation, the clinic and professionalism of all the staff and so decided to book a date for the procedure that was a few months later due to holiday plans.

I chose to have the procedure on a Thursday so I could have the checkup on the Friday and then rest my eyes over the weekend before returning to work on Monday. This was purely my preference because some people return to work the next day. Personally, my flat mate advised that the more I could rest my eyes and keep them closed in the first few days, the faster the healing process and the reduced chance of eye infections.

On the day of surgery I had another round of eyes tests and examinations and was then introduced to my surgeon who did his own tests and examinations and talked me through exactly what was about to happen. I said I was happy to continue. I was then handed over to a nurse who got me ready for surgery and then took me into the theatre which looked very modern and ultra clean and felt calm given the blue tone lighting. I was asked to lay down on a long couch with a large box device that hovered over my head. My surgeon sat behind me and talked me through everything he was doing step by step.

The actual procedure was so much faster then I had imagined. Each eye took less than 90 seconds to correct. In all, I was probably in the room for less than 12 minutes. Immediately afterwards, my eyes felt watery but there was no pain. I was then asked to relax with my eyes closed in a darkened room for a while. I was then given another examination by the surgeon who told me that everything had gone well. I had a bag containing instructions and various eye drops to take home. I was then driven home but even in the car I could tell that my eyesight had improved.

When I got home, the anesthetic began to wear off so my eyes felt like they had a few small pieces of grit in them but a few anesthetic drops supplied sorted that out. This grit feeling was only when I blinked and lasted for the first 12 hours but even then my eyes never felt painful.

As advised I then had a rest in the afternoon and kept my eyes closed as much as possible. I woke up in the evening and could already tell a big difference in what i could see. However, it's the next day after a good night's sleep that I could REALLY tell the difference. It's truly amazing! My vision was crystal clear and I could see so far! I had my routine check up the following day and was given the all clear. I had various drops to apply in the first week and some funny eyes masks to wear when sleeping. I then had a routine check up after the first week, first month, 3 months and then 6 months.

It's been 6 months since my correction and the results of my procedure have been classed exceptional by the clinic since my eyes have not deteriorated since the surgery. I now have better than 20:20 vision and this is predicted for life! I'm so happy with the results and it's been worth every penny.

My experience with Laser Vision focus was first class - the care and accuracy of the surgeon, the professionalism of the staff who conducted the consultation and looked after me, the clinic location on Wimpole Street and the high standard of aftercare. I would have no hesitation in recommending Laser Vision Focus.

I had ZKamra treatment in December as I needed reading glasses for all close work. Immediately after the operation I could read the small label on the eye drops bottle and haven't had to wear reading glasses since. Mr David Allamby and his team were brilliant from start to finish. I would highly recommend.

It was the best decision i had ever made. I had vision - 4.75 for both eyes. I had bad vision from my childhood. After operation my vision 100 percent. i do not have any prescription any more. The surgeon and all staff were amazing. My life
have completely change after operation. Now i am enjoy my new eyes and my freedom from contact lenses and glasses.

I could not believe my eyes, It felt like being in a dream as I could see without my glasses after so many years. The surgeon, Mr. David Allamby and the entire team were fabulous.They made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. They have been amazingly professional and caring. It's been three weeks since I had my surgery and I am enjoying life without glasses. I cannot describe how happy I am and I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone wanting to have laser surgery!

Just went in for 1 month appointment today and so far well pleased with the results of blended vision treatment after wearing glasses/contacts for 30 years. Any uncertainties I had were put to rest and even after the operation I have only noticed some minor night vision abberations which are not unexpected and should clear up over the next couple of months. The aftercare is excellent and you get detailed information on your progress against whats expected.

I've been wearing glasses and contact lenses for over 15 years now and now two weeks after surgery I am feeling on top of the world. I now have better than 20:20 vision. I wake up and can see and no longer have to reach for those horrid glasses. David was so professional and his team were absolutely great. I would definately recommend Focus. Thank you all!!! It's amazing to be able to see so well we you have been used to wear contact lenses and glasses for 12 years... (I had miopia -2 in each eye).
The staff at the clinic is very friendly and professional and the surgeon make you feel very comfortable during the surgery.

Having worn glasses for the past 20 years I had considered laser surgery previously but had never got round to it. Having seen an offer on this site i decided that I would go for the consultation and see how things went. Going to the clinic and meeting the staff, all very friendly and helpful, convinced me to go ahead. I was also very impressed by the leading clinical work that my surgeon, David Allamby, was doing. The procedure itself was mildly uncomfortable but not painful at all. On getting up and being able to see the time on the clock was simply amazing! Since then my vision has just got better and better. I would highly recommend the clinic and all the wonderful staff there.

I would definitely recommend Focus Laser Vision. My surgeon was highly experienced and very approachable and friendly. Although the first day after operation was a little uncomfortable - it is definitely worth it! I am really happy with my new perfect vision! The clinic staff were very helpful and provided very thorough aftercare and support!

Been thinking along time about the procedure and decided to do some research. Focus came out on top and so decided to go along for a consultation. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the friendliness and professional attitude of the staff. They re-assured me, answered all my questions and what I liked most, was not pushy! The treatment itself was easy and didn't hurt ( just a little irritating) - I have a low pain threshold. I was driving the next day and my only regret was I didn't do this sooner. Focus made a scary experience so easy !

From the moment I walked into the clinic for my initial consultation I was made to feel at ease. Everything was explained to me in clear plain language, the potential risks were highlighted and all my questions were answered. It was a total of about 2 weeks from consultation to surgery!
