It will then take around 6 months for the implant to fully integrate into jaw bone, during which time you will be fitted with a temporary implant. Once the dentist is happy that everything has healed the crown can then be fitted into the screw and the procedure is complete. There is generally very little maintenance required to maintain the implant but it is still important to have regular dental check-ups.
