Put simply, medical tourism relates to a person who has treatment in a country which is different to their own. This could be dental, cosmetic, fertility or any other medical treatment which you require.

Medical tourism is one of the fastest growing global business sectors and is already a multi-billion dollar industry.

There are already one million people seeking treatment overseas each year and the number is set to rise. Approximately 50 million Americans have no or inadequate medical insurance and may therefore be forced to seek other alternatives at a price they can afford. This often means packing their bags and travelling to a different country to get the treatment they require, often combining this with a relaxing break.
