What if something goes wrong?Medical travel problems

Any immediate post operative complications will be dealt with by your surgeon whilst you are in their care. Your surgeon will only discharge you from the hospital when he/she is happy that your recovery is progressing as planned. By the time you have been given clearance to fly home, your surgeon will be confident of your recovery and the medication you are taking is all working as it should.

Some hospitals / clinics (especially following cosmetic surgery) may include post operative after care with a specialist in your own country. (Check this with the individual healthcare provider).

You may require a follow-up appointment with your GP so make sure that you have informed him/her of what treatment you are having.

If you have any questions or concerns following your surgery, be sure to contact your surgeon.
