Breast enlargement
Breast enlargement is one of the most popular cosmetic surgical procedures carried out on woman and aims to improve both the size and shape of the breasts. The procedure is typically carried out on women who have small or asymmetric breasts. During the breast augmentation the surgeon will make an incision along the natural crease of the breast, under the arm pit or on the underside of the nipple. The breast implant is then inserted through the incision and is placed behind your own natural breast tissue enhancing its size. The procedure is typically carried out under a general anaesthetic and normally requires an overnight stay in the hospital. The total time taken for the surgery is typically around one and a half hours but there will be variation on this.
Following the procedure you will need a period of recovery time before you can go back to work and normal activities. There will be a lot of swelling and bruising of the breasts following the surgery and you will not see their final appearance for at least one month or so. You will be required to return for a number of aftercares following your breast enlargement so your surgeon can check how you are healing.
